Standing on its own, or accompanying a dish, the perfect cocktail is versatile and a welcome addition to any food trip. GRID x Tanduay: Cocktail Culture is a series following mixologist Dondz Bolante around the Philippines as he crafts cocktails inspired by the flavors of the different regions.

The sprawling plains and sugar fields of Tarlac are the inspiration for Dondz’ latest creation: a sweet and tangy fizz with hints of fresh lemon and caramel made delightfully creamy with a splash of egg white. Enjoyed with a thick slice of Tibok-Tibok, a local delicacy, this pair of sweet treats is the perfect way to end a long day out in the sun.

Creamed Rum Fizz

  • 30ml lemon juice
  • 30ml egg white
  • 20ml creme brulee syrup
  • 60ml Tanduay Rum Gold

How To Mix:

Combine all the ingredients in a shaker tin and shake vigorously. Add ice and shake again. Strain the mixture into a glass and garnish with caramel. Best paired with Tibok-Tibok.
