Standing on its own, or accompanying a dish, the perfect cocktail is versatile and a welcome addition to any food trip. GRID x Tanduay: Cocktail Culture is a series following mixologist Dondz Bolante around the Philippines as he crafts cocktails inspired by the flavors of the different regions.

For his next act, mixologist Dondz Bolante concocts a creamy drink inspired by the currents of Cagayan de Oro. The zesty tang of fresh pineapple and lime juice mixed with the silkiness of rum and milk makes for a delightfully unique drink, especially after surviving that whitewater rafting rush at Cagayan de Oro’s wild rivers. Kick back and relax with the Pineapple Gold Rush!

Siargao Sunrise

15 ml lime juice
15 ml simple syrup
30 ml fresh milk
60 ml pineapple juice
60 ml Tanduay Asian Rum
Garnish with one whole chicharon and a pineapple slice

How To Mix:

Combine all ingredients with ice into a shaker tin. Shake, then serve in a tall glass. Garnish with one whole chicharon and a pineapple slice. 

Sip and enjoy!
